Today starts the beginning. All centers have been rolled out and explored. I will be introducing W.O.W. Projects to my students. Each class will have 3 weeks to work on a piece of artwork. They are learning that Artist get their ideas from may places. The world influences artist, as well as things like music, culture, activities, hobbies, sports..etc. Students 1st through 5th grade will be kicking off their first long project. W.O.W. stands for Wonderful Original Work of Art. This is a time for them to expand their understanding of traditonal art lessons and allow their own creativity to shine.
Today alone my students have left me speechless. They are people, with feelings with hopes dreams and ideas they want to express.
