Our second project of the semester is Watercolor Graffiti, this follows color theory incorporating the color spectrum. This project allows students to experiment with Graffiti font through their own research and a great site called GraffitiCreator. Students learn about giving text dimension (drop shadow) creating tertiary colors, adding a middle ground and designing a patterned background. This is a favorite among 7th grade students. Be sure to have enough cardboard to tape down watercolor paper. Each of my students is given their own board to paint on.
